The
new ratio controller F124 is scheduled to be released on October 1st
2007.
At
this moment field trials are running successfully at end-users in the
chemical industry. The F124 will be a key product with opportunities for
extension into a controller product family, where the F120 single loop
controller is expected on November 1st 2007. The F124 is designed
for ratio control applications like:
·Blending and mixing
two flows to produce specific compositions or physical properties.
·Injecting modifiers
and pigments into resins before moulding or extrusion.
·Maintaining a correct
air and fuel mixture.
·Adjusting heat input
in proportion to material flow.
Ratio
control is used to ensure that two (or more) flows are kept at the same
ratio even if the flows are changing. The measured additive flow B is divided
by the main flow A. The result becomes the cascade set point
and is adjustable by the operator in percentages. When the operator changes
the control mode from Hand to Local or Cascade, PV and set point tracking is
used to ensure bump less transfer. The F124 uses an I-PD algorithm to
provide stable control and to reduce overshoot. Another important feature is
the safety mode, where a contact input closure will set the control output to
a predetermined safety value. The F124 extends its possibilities by using an
Intrinsically Safe option in a rigid IP67 field enclosure. The F-series product
range is the alternative to replace existing pneumatic controllers in
local control loops.
The ProcessMonitor M-Series demo
suitcase
The demo suitcase is an
innovative, interactive presentation package designed to introduce our
customers to the ProcessMonitor concept. The objective is to provide our
distribution partners a real-life demonstration tool to show customers how
easy and reliable our business solution works. A schematic reproduction of a
remote tank monitoring application is printed on the aluminium plates. The
demo kit consists of a suitcase with a Fluidwell F073 level display with
large digits display and two alarm outputs, configured as high and low alarm.
The F073 is supplied with the backlight option. The demo kit also contains a
potentiometer as a simulation of a continuous signal from a level instrument
(radar, TDR, ultrasonic, hydrostatic pressure). The ProcessMonitor
M422 remote monitoring unit with two 4–20mA and two digital inputs
transmits the signal to your GSM phone, laptop, PC or the ProcessMonitor web
portal. Supplied by the demo suitcase is a USB GSM modem for the connection
to your PC or laptop. The ProcessView software will demonstrate the visual
aspect of this tank monitoringapplication
on your computer.
