Span Calculation example Level & Height
In this instruction video we assume that the level sensor generates a minimum signal of 4mA at a volumetric level of 200.00 USGAL and a maximum signal of 20mA at a level of 652.31 USGAL.
Level:
The level span is set to 652.31 - 200 = 452.31 with an offset of 200.00. The measurement unit is set to USGAL with 2 decimals.
The volumetric level and the height of the level column can simultaneously be displayed.
Height:
We assume that the level sensor generates a minimum signal of 4mA at a level height of 30.0 cm and a maximum signal of 20mA at a level height of 220.0 cm. The height span is set to 220.0 – 30.0 = 190.0 with an offset of 30.0.The measurement unit is set to cm with 1 decimal.
Warning: Changing the decimals (afterwards) will also effect the span and offset.
